Pantomime at Christmas
The number of children and adults who attend is two hundred and fifty, it is a local event, with a nominal entrance fee, promoting good quality family time together with free refreshments for the benefit of the community with a professional theatre company Families in our area would not be able to afford such an outing.
Christmas Spectacular
The last two years, instead of doing a community open day we have done a 'Christmas Spectacular' when nearly 900 of the community each year have came through our doors on the first Saturday of December. Everyone had free refreshments (tea, coffee, and mulled wine) and a mince pie. Each child had a free gift (value £5) from Santa and free photos with Santa inside his grotto, there was also an area for children to colour, crayon, do handicrafts while waiting with their parents for their turn to see Santa. There was also a puppet/ventriloquist to entertain the children and parents a like. All one hundred of us as workers donned his or her Father Christmas hats, or reindeer hats. There was such a response to the event that people were queing down the road just to see the CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR!!
We are also very much involved with other events in the community for example, The Kingstanding Carnival, The Perry Common Fun Day, the Great Barr Festival, The Sutton Carnival
Church Band
The church band play regularly and have played regularly for shoppers at The Mall, Gracechurch Shopping Centre, Sutton Coldfield, The One Stop Shopping Centre, Perry Barr, and Asda’s 24 hour store, at Queslet Road.
